I had the wonderful please of first meeting Jon & Emelia for their engagement shoot around Hamilton Battlefield House Museum and Park. It was obvious that this young couple was so very much in love and I was even more excited to join them for their big day.
Jon is a Pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces and the wedding most definitely centered around a lot of his background in the military and his passion of planes. The ceremony finished off with a beautiful sword salute from Jon’s military friends/colleagues. In addition we took most of the photos at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope which made for some very unique photos compared to my usual locations. The day happened to be the windiest day in recent memory which made the indoor location even more great so that we could maintain some semblance of nice hair.
The reception was held at the always spectacular Liuna Station in Hamilton in The Grand Central Ballroom which is an absolutely superb and spacious place for a wedding. The wedding cake was the most spectacular I have ever seen featuring a waterfall in between the tiers; the best part, it and was created by Jon.
Thanks Jon and Emelia for having me part of your big day. I wish you two all the happiness in the world.
