I was looking forward to Cory & Allison’s special day since they booked me as it was going to be my first time shooting at Spencer’s at the Waterfront; a venue which I had on my bucket list for the last few years. It’s waterfront location, with complete glass surroundings, and the most amazing architecture has made me long to photograph a wedding there and Cory & Allison’s special day lived up to the anticipation.
Allison and her bridesmaids started the day off at Fortelli Salon and Spa where we had a bunch of fun opening champagne and documenting the getting ready moments for the day. Afterwards, we headed off to Allison’s parents house to get into the dresses and take photos with the girls and the couple’s beloved dog. The guys started off getting ready at home with my wonderful associate Chelsea capturing the action over there.
Allison had asked me to capture all the ‘ugly crying’ for the day and emotions ran high when dad saw Allison for the first time and throughout most of the night. Going through the photos there were so many photos with emotion that I capture that it was so hard to choose the best.
After the ceremony we did photos around Spencer Smith Park and then got the opportunity to do lots of night shots. This night was the biggest thunderstorm of the year and we got a couple really cool shots with lighting and rain as the storm and party raged on.
Thanks so much for inviting me to be part of your special day.
